- After completing his/her introductory “training” period (3 months), a new employee can:
- Start to use PTO – 1st year of employment: 80 hrs. (3.08 hrs. accrue every pay period – bi-weekly)
- Non-Exempt Employees:
- After 1 year of employment - 80 hours
- After 2 years of employment - 80 hours
- After 3 years of employment - 96 hours
- After 4 years of employment - 96 hours
- After 5 years of employment - 112 hours
- After 6 years of employment - 112 hours
- After 7 years of employment & up- 120 hours
- Exempt:
- After 1-5 years of employment – 120 hours
- After 6-10 year of employment - 144 hours
- After 10 years of employment - 168 hours
- Non-Exempt Employees:
- Paid holidays (see attached – News and Announcements – Holidays 2021)
- Paid Jury Duty pay up to 3 days
- Bereavement pay up to 2 days
- Reimbursement for a pair of steel toe shoes up to $70 (every 3 years)
- Reimbursement for a pair of work pants up to $50 (every year)
- Insurance – Medical (2 different Medica plans to chose from – 75% paid by SAND, 25% employee), Dental (Delta Dental – 75% paid by SAND, 25% employee), Vision (United Health Care – 75% paid by SAND, 25% employee), Life (Unum – 100% paid by SAND), LTD (Unum – 100% paid by SAND) &/or an option for additional supplemental insurances (Colonial Life – 100% paid by employee)
- Uniforms – (5) t-shirts, (1) fleece & (1) sweat shirt (every year)

- Annual bonus based on years of service and work performance (given out near the end of the year – typically December)
- Roughly every month or two, SAND recognizes the team by buying lunch for everyone (ex: Subway, McDonald’s, Casey’s pizza, etc.)
- Annual company picnic (if COVID-19 allows)
- Involved in the Annandale community – 4th of July parade (make a float), Halloween (hand out candy), Demo Derby (Sports (we’ll be sponsoring youth baseball/softball or other sports in need of a sponsor)
